At Big Viking Games, the team manages over 200 promotion templates, with 10 to 20 promotional posts going live each day. As the sole Visual Designer at the company, I’m responsible for creating and maintaining these templates to ensure they are both visually engaging and highly functional.

Given that many team members have little to no design background, my challenge is to design templates that are simple, intuitive, and easy to edit—without compromising the integrity of the core UI elements. Most templates feature blank backgrounds, allowing team members to easily insert product images, adjust pricing, and update promotional details. This approach ensures consistency across all posts while enabling non-designers to work efficiently and effectively.

Over my 4 years at the company, I have continually refined and optimized our promotion templates to enhance both user experience and visual effectiveness. These improvements were driven by insights gathered from extensive A/B testing, helping the team determine which layouts and design elements resonate most with our players. Each iteration focused on improving clarity, engagement, and ease of use, resulting in more effective promotions and a better user experience overall.
